The New Jersey Innovation Skills Accelerator (InSA) is a free, online program to train public officials to leverage new technology and data to drive innovation in their day-to-day work, and tap into the intelligence and expertise of residents of the Garden State. This program aims to help public entrepreneurs -- those passionate individuals who want to get better at designing public interest projects and taking them from idea to implementation -- work differently. InSA includes video instruction, interviews with leading public sector innovators from around the world, readings, and self-assessmente. Course content spans an array of subject areas, such as introductions to new technologies like blockchain and big data analytics, utilizing modern methodologies such as user-centered design and open innovation, and employing experimental design approaches. Upon completion of the digital courses, State employees are eligible to attend a live, intensive Innovation Bootcamp to deepen their knowledge of new ways of working in government. For more information, or if you have questions about InSA, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Founded with the mandate to improve the lives of New Jerseyans by designing and deploying more effective and efficient government services, the Office of Innovation works in partnership with the Governor’s office and State agencies to create innovative policies and technologies that address complex public problems by working differently: we apply data science and public engagement to understand problems, and use the latest digital technologies combined with strategic policies to develop solutions that improve services while also reducing costs for the State and the taxpaying public.
